A spray tan is a sunless tanning method where a fine mist containing DHA (dihydroxyacetone) is sprayed onto your skin to create a temporary bronze or golden tan.
Typically, a spray tan lasts 5 to 10 days, depending on your skin type, how well you prepare before the session and how well you follow TEN Beauty’s aftercare.
Yes, spray tanning is generally considered safe. DHA, the active ingredient, is FDA-approved for external use.
I do require everyone to be patch tested at TEN Beauty at least 24 hours before treatment.
Yes, but do it at least 4 hours before your appointment to allow your pores to close and skin to dry thoroughly.
You can wear whatever you're comfortable with – a swimsuit, underwear, or go nude. I do provide a disposable thong if you require one.

It’s generally safe, but always consult with your doctor. Most recommend avoiding it in the first trimester as it can turn out patchy due to hormonal changes.
No. Spray tans do not contain SPF. Always use sunscreen when outside.
Yes, and many people do! Get it 1–2 days before the event for best results.
Yes, chlorine in pools can absolutely fade or remove a spray tan—and quite quickly, in some cases. Here’s how it works and what you should know:
Hot tubs are even worse than pools due to the combination of heat, jets, and chlorine.
If you must swim, try these tips:
If you want your spray tan to last as long as possible—avoid chlorine. If you swim, just be aware it may shorten your tan’s lifespan or lead to uneven fading.
